The Marrow Story finds its genesis in a bone marrow transplant. If every Indian between the age group of 18-40 registers as a marrow donor from any one major city of India, we can build the largest marrow registry in the world!
With an attempt to educate and motivate people to register as marrow donors, Steffi (Leukemia and Bone Marrow Transplant Survivor) started The Marrow Story. Soon, several survivors, marrow donors and health care workers got in touch and redefined the purpose of this initiative. Today, TMS hosts stories of all survivors, health care workers, NGOs and individuals who have worked to change the conversation around the disease, challenged myths and changed the discourse.
